How does it work?
Mail your original photograph, 35 mm slide, or negative to us. We can arrange pick up
if you live locally. Good quality reproductions or scans are also acceptable.
Your originals are evaluated and a price is quoted for the work. Upon
acceptance, the original is scanned and stored. All restoration and retouching
is done on the digital image of your original. Your original photograph is never altered
in any way. You then view the finished image on your computer before payment is
requested. You'll receive your original back along with the finished image on a
Photo CD. You can have your photographs printed locally or order prints directly
from us. We recommend using a local art or frame shop for professional finishing.
If you decide not to have us do the work, we'll send your originals back, all you pay
is the return shipping.

How long does it take to have a photograph restored?
In most cases it takes between 5 to10 business days to have a photograph restored.
However, if a photograph is extremely damaged or if we are experiencing a heavy
workload, it may take a bit longer. It is advisable that we receive photographs to be
restored far in advance of major holidays such as Veterans Day, Mothers Day,
Fathers Day or Christmas.

How do I mail my photograph or documents?
Place all photographs or documents into separate envelopes, and then place those
envelopes between too pieces of sturdy cardboard to prevent any bending. Do not
send framed photographs or documents due to the chance of glass breaking during
the shipment and further damaging your photograph. We do recommend that you
request delivery confirmation from your shipper.

What is the best way to store and display photographs?
Always store the original photographs in archival acid-free envelopes and boxes that
can be purchased from your local art or frame shop. Keep them away from any areas
that may experience dramatic changes of temperature and humidity such as garages,
attics, basements or any areas near fireplaces or windows. Display the photographs
only in frames that are covered with UV protective glass. Keep them away from
exposure to direct sunlight, fluorescent light and drastic changes of temperature and
humidity.

How long do we keep copies of photographs?
All digital scans of the original photographs and the restored images are kept for up to
3 years. This makes it possible to send you a replacement disk in case the original,
the restored photographs or your disk becomes lost or damaged.
